Luísa Sequeira

Director, Programmer, Executive Producer

Luísa Sequeira is a researcher filmmaker and a film curator, who work on multiple platforms, such as, film, video and photography, who explore the intersections of cinema, design and emerging media.

Luísa has a specialization in documentary and currently is a Ph.D student in Media Arts.

Luísa’s artistic work, explores the boundaries between documentary and experimental cinema.

She made several films which have been exhibited at numerous international events including, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo, Festival Internacional de Cinema do Rio, IBERODOC, Seoul Cinematheque, Festival Internacional de cine y vídeo experimental Bideodromo, Cinema Museum ( London) ,São Paulo International Short Film Festival, NY Portuguese Short Film Festival, Cine BH, Indielisboa, Doclisboa).

For more than 10 years she worked at RTP, coordinating and presenting several projects, we highlight ‘Fotograma’, an author and alternative tv show dedicated to cinema.

Since 2010, she has been conducting and curating Shortcutz Porto and in 2012 she began organizing Super 9 Mobile, the first Portuguese festival exclusively dedicated to the mobile.
