Shortcutz Paris highlights the talent of established, new, and emerging filmmakers based in Paris.
More than just a film festival, it was created as a space for creatives, producers, professionals, and cinema lovers to meet and nurture their passion for filmmaking through constructive exchanges of ideas and dialogue.
The festival believes short films are a powerful medium to showcase the diversity of Parisian culture.
This is reflected in its varied screenings, which include narrative, animated, documentary, and experimental short films.
Screenings are held monthly at different venues across the city, featuring a themed selection of short films.
These events are open to the public and free of charge.
All films are subtitled in French or English, and Q&A sessions are conducted in French to facilitate local community engagement.
Duration: <20min
Language: French or other languages, but with French/English subtitles (unless intentionally unsubtitled for artistic reasons)
Content rules: No misogyny, homophobia, racism, etc.
Presence: Director/team member must attend the screening event for presentation & discussion
Production: Self/externally produced
Genre: All (documentary/fiction/experimental)
